Yesterday there was about 2 hours worth of coverage on CNN and MSNBC while a giant helium filled balloon streaked across the Colorado mountainside. Many people believed that a boy named Falcon Henne (irony) was trapped inside and hence got the name balloon boy. Everyone was freaking out and the state deployed the National Guard to monitor the balloon and tons of resources were wasted keeping track of the object.
The only problem was, the kid wasn’t in the balloon. He was safely inside the attic hiding in a cardboard box. Of course after the incident the family immediately took advantage of the press and went on like every single talkshow on earth. But it doesn’t stop there. The mother of the boy was once on a show called Wife Swapwhich I vaguely remember and I think it is cancelled now. When Wolf Blitzer asked the boy why he didn’t come out of the attic when his parents were calling his name he said, “You said to do this for the show.”
This just proves that the parents are attention whores and just wanted a little bit of publicity so they exploited their child to do so. Hindsight is 20/20 so I guess I can look back on this situation and laugh but if this little bitch of a mother tries to launch a reality series after this, I am gonna be pissed because this world is FULL of d-lister reality tv stars and it is hard to keep track of them all and it pisses me off.

Paris Hilton has crawled out of her movie role slump and has actually gotten a pretty decent role. Of course this will require zero acting because she is going to play herself. Apparently she will only be on the set for one day but she is demanding a bottle of Grey Goose vodka and live lobsters to be prepared for that day.
If I were in charge of the celebrity demands, I would give her live crawdads and a bottle of Smirnoff ice. That should send a message. Of course if Paris really got hungry she could just boil some of those crabs that are crawling around on her crotch but I hear the vagisil she rubs on everyday would make them taste soapy. Paris does not like soapy.

Hints of Light at the End of the Michael Jackson Mourning Tunnel

It's been four long months we've spent mourning the death of the self-anointed King, a life of pr exploitation which segued beautifully into an afterlife of pr exploitation. But at last it seems the parade might be winding down.
For some there was the fear that the release of This Is It, the documentary of rehearsals for the MJ concert that wasn't, might not mark the end of our mourning period but in fact kick it up to the next level. But it seems our fears were for naught. The first reviews and grosses are in and across the board the over-the-top ecstasy level falls far short of what would be needed to fuel a second era of posthumous excitement.
First the grosses: $2.2 million for a Tuesday night opening isn't at all bad, but it's not the kind of number that sets entertainment on fire either, especially in light of the fact that this film's opening has been more hyped than the first salvos of the Iraq war. "A record for an October Tuesday" Variety calls it, which is basically akin to the Best Garden Salad at Hardees award.
At Hitfix, Greg Ellwood writes of the early dollars:
Many of Jackson's fans showed up last night to pay tribute to their fallen idol at late night and midnight screenings, but it only resulted in $2.2 million in ticket sales. In comparison, summer blockbusters Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen found $16 million and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince set the record for midnight screenings with $22.2 million. Obviously, there is a hug gap there between the summer releases and an October opener like "This Is It," but considering the hype it's actually a tad disappointing.
This Is It could do anywhere from $10-15 million today, but the question will be how it plays through the Halloween weekend. That may make the $60 million plus weekend some were predicting somewhat of a reach.
As for the reviews, those who can be counted upon to gush, have gushed. Roger Ebert calls it "an extraordinary documentary" saying the footage proves that Jackson was sane, in control, generous, kind, visionary....
Other more level heads however have pointed out have pointed out that this rehearsal footage offers a very circumscribed, controlled look at Jackson, leaving much unsaid and unquestioned.
Overall Metacritc gives This Is It a fairly not It score of 62, while Rotten Tomatoes tracks the film at a good, but not stellar 81 percent positive rating.
Dare we to dream that this could, in face, be it?

Lil' Wayne is keeping his lawyers busy!
The rapper is once again facing more legal problems!
Weezy along with rapper Birdman are being sued for copyright infringement by a Florida resident, Thomas Marasciullo. The man is accusing both rappers of using his voice without his permission on several tracks.
Back in 2006m Marasciullo was asked to record "Italian-styled spoken-word recordings" for Cash Money Records and is claiming those recordings were used on four tracks on Lil' Wayne's album Like Father, Like Son and on Birdman's 5 (Star) Stunna record.

He discovered his voice was being used after his daughter was trying to download Aretha Franklin's Respect for a ringtone, but mistakenly played the song of the same title on Like Father, Like Son.
Umm, how do you even get those two confused!?
What's also inneresting is Thomas' son was fired from his recording engineer job with Cash Money after he started asking for compensation.
Any other family member you want to include in this lawsuit?
Marasciullo is suing Cash Money and Universal Music for unspecified damages.

Chris Brown has apparently been hanging out with a new reality tv show contestant for the upcoming season of Oxygen’s “The Bad Girls Club” which supposedly “features women with behavioral issues.”
What we do know about Natalie is that in her bio for the show, she states that she, “enjoys cruising in her sugar daddies’ expensive cars and painting the town red with her cool celebrity friends.”
Well, that sounds like a mature leading lady, don’t you think? On October 16, the singer and reality show contestant were allegedly seen at a roller-skating party on October 16.
According to TMZ’s update, Brown has apparently fired back on his Twitter page saying, “Tmz..omg…. U guys have nothing better to do. And by the way. I don’t mess wit that girl.”
Lately the singer performed in East Rutherford, New Jersey and thanked his fans for all of their support and appreciation of his music saying, “Despite my past and stuff like that, I appreciate all of y’all. How long we gonna do this for? We gonna do this forever!”
Apparently, he will be going on tour regarding “Fan Appreciation” starting off in Houston, Texas on November 14th ending during the Christmas season on December 15, in time for a concert at the Nokia Theater in New York City.
So whether Natalie Nunn is or is not Chris Brown’s girlfriend, and despite what he has tweeted, we will just sit this one out for now!
